I'm Katie Emslie, creative strategist and designer. I help small businesses access expert design without needing a full creative team.

I help established solopreneurs and small teams transform their ideas into polished, bespoke visuals that stand out and connect with their audience.

By using accessible software (like Canva) I help to bridge the gap between expert design and accessible design. I want you to own your assets and have them in formats you can access and update.

I've worked in corporate, in agencies, and with small businesses. I know what it's like to build something from the ground up and have experienced great support and encouragement from others along the way. Now, I like to pass on the same to the people in my world!

You’ve built a business that you are super proud of, but your digital presence needs an upgrade.

Once upon a time, there was a business owner named Sophia. Sophia had worked hard most of her life, got excellent grades in school, graduated with honours, and went into the corporate world with starry eyes and a wardrobe full of optimism.

The shift in seasons

After several years in the corporate-sphere, she realised how much time and effort was eaten up with bureaucracy, tradition, reporting, and meetings that definitely could have been emails. Over time, a question kept coming to her that she couldn't shake, "what if I started my own business? I am confident I could really make a difference for others while ditching the aspects of my current role that are weighing me down..." and before long, that question turned into a spark.

And that spark into a flame, and then that flame into a fire when she quit her 9-5 and leaped head first into running her own business!

The great quest of business start up!

Oh the excitement!! Oh the opportunity! Oh the....admin and logos, and templates, and marketing, oh my. But never one to back down from a challenge, Sophia carried on. She made her way through business registration, ABN, accounting, and DIY designed her way through the trenches of those early business years. And now, here she is, 5+ years in and has more confidence and clarity than ever on who she is, who she serves, and what her sweet spot is in the business landscape.

The Canva logo isn’t enough anymore...

But there's a slight problem...the Canva logo that carried her through all these years was the right choice 5 years ago, but now Sophia realises that her business needs expert design to really match the quality and level of services she is bringing to the table. She feels like she has so much potential and is receiving great invitations, and inquiries, but doesn't quite have the visual presence that reflects where she is going. She knows she needs an update with professional branding but isn't sure where to start...

She's a business owner herself and knows what it's like to build something from the ground up. She's had experience working in the corporate world, in agencies AND with small businesses.
